About the project
In the United States, over 20% of kids have a chronic illness and 80% of these kids have trouble adhering to their treatment recommendations, leading to negative health outcomes. This affects not only the children with these illnesses, but also their parents, their support network, and our entire healthcare system. To help these kids (and parents!) better understand their illnesses, we have been working with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Emory, and Georgia Tech in order to create Hemonauts: a game to explore the diseases in the human body in a fun and engaging way.
Thrust is a game development studio located in Atlanta, GA that has been around for almost 15 years. We have designed and developed some of the largest kids games in the world for some of the largest entertainment media properties in the US. We call what we do Game Science with the goal of producing "Habit Forming Fun”. [Mattel, Cartoon Network, PBS Kids, NFL] & [American Cancer Society, Arthritis Association]
